Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support Rivian vehicle repairs. The role is based in California with potential remote work or travel to various sites including the production plant to provide vehicle support as needed.

You will diagnose, repair, and install, service campaigns, document notes, and stay current with training; must have high school diploma, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and strong customer-facing communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record (3–5 years).
• Ability to drive a non-commercial truck/trailer preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Proficient with Windows or Mac computers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, install, and inspect vehicles at service centers or in the field.
• Identify Rivian products and EV framework.
• Follow repair procedures with safety and quality.
• Conduct road tests to verify repairs.
• Manage parts operations and inventory.
• Document work and technical notes thoroughly.
• Collaborate with team and communicate professionally with customers.
• Keep skills up to date through required training.
