Job summary

The Blood Connection, Incorporated is seeking a Donor Services Technician Driver to support mobile blood drives. You will register donors, perform donor history assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

You will operate a specialized mobile blood donation bus, set up donation sites, and maintain a clean, efficient environment. Flexibility for weekends and some evenings is required to support patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Customer service experience.
• Valid Driver's License with no major infractions and dependable transportation.
• CDL Class A or B License with no major infractions.
• Commercial Learners Permit (CLP) at minimum.
• Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously to patrons, donors, sponsors and co-workers.
• Ability to work with all levels and in a diverse work environment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Greets donors and guests with a welcoming demeanor to build rapport.
• Assesses donor eligibility via computer verification and medical history.
• Performs donor health history and physical assessment; prepares for collection.
• Opens and operates the mobile blood donation bus, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
• Liaises with donors, communicates the organization’s mission, and ensures donor satisfaction.
• Operates the bloodmobile drives and pickups at multiple locations in the service area.
• Maintains professional, courteous, and prompt service throughout the donation process.
