Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light to heavy repairs. This role operates in a mobile/field setting with a focus on electrical, fuel, and brake systems, and requires adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; ASE and related certifications preferred.
• Experience with DOT inspections and fleet maintenance is essential.
• Ability to diagnose and repair diesel and trailer systems in field settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on light to heavy trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose electrical, fuel, steering, and brake systems in mobile/field environments.
• Complete repairs and document findings via mobile device software.
• Communicate estimates and obtain approvals with customers and management.
• Maintain safety practices and vehicle readiness for road tests.
