Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Florida is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to service fleets at customer sites and perform on-site maintenance. Responsibilities include diagnostics, repairs, and inventory management of service trucks, with after-hours availability as needed.

Required are 5 years as a Class 7/8 technician, CDL preferred but not required, and ASE certifications preferred. Benefits include healthcare, retirement, and training within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• FMVSS medical card as required.
• Peterbilt/International/Ford/Hino/Isuzu/Cummins/ASE certifications are preferred & rewarded.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical ability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment per company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage service truck inventory and tools.
• Report to Service Manager and follow daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service and flexible schedule.
• Diagnose and perform repairs using diagnostic equipment and technical information.
• Replace components such as injectors, bearings, transmissions, and more.
• Document work in the company system and communicate with customers.
