Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to maintain fleet equipment and handle on-site service calls for clients in Texas. Responsibilities include diagnostics, maintenance, and parts replacement with emphasis on safety and customer service.

You will join a leading network of commercial vehicle dealerships and participate in after-hours service as needed, with a strong focus on accuracy, documentation, and professional growth within a robust rewards culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 9 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance of the truck and inspections as assigned.
• Manage inventory for service truck and vehicle stock.
• Report to the Service Manager and follow daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Diagnose and repair diesel engine trucks and related equipment using diagnostic tools.
• Document work performed in the company system.
• Ensure safety devices are functioning and adjust as needed.
