Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to service fleets at client locations across Texas. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks on-site, manage inventory on the service truck, and coordinate with the Service Manager on daily tasks.

The role requires 5 years of Class 7 & 8 technician experience, CDL preferred, and ASE certifications are valued. Excellent benefits and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are required.
• Five years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Current CDL is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment per company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and inspections.
• Manage service truck inventory and restock as needed.
• Report to the Service Manager and receive daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service and flexible scheduling.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to diagnose and repair trucks.
• Diagnose and replace components such as injectors, pistons, bearings, clutches, transmissions and others.
• Document all work in the company system and maintain safety devices.
• Communicate with customers about repairs and upcoming services.
• Participate in training and apply it on the job.
