Kooner Fleet Management Solutions seeks a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service Class 6-8 trucks and trailers at customer sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with a company-provided service truck and top-tier tools, ensuring safe and reliable fleet operations.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on diesel experience, DOT inspection skills, and a safety-focused mindset.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on diesel tech experience.
- DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.
- Strong communication skills with customers and drivers.
- Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools.
- Independent, dependable and self-motivated with safety-first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Perform onsite preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
- Handle emergency road service calls with urgency and professionalism.
- Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
- Use handheld computers, precision instruments, and tools to diagnose and fix issues quickly.
- Road test and verify repairs meet top-quality standards.
- Source parts via trusted vendors and maintain safer operating conditions.
