Job summary

Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to service fleets on-site. In this field-based role you’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, with a company service truck and toolset provided.

This position emphasizes independence, reliability, and keeping America moving. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of diesel experience, DOT and air brake expertise, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on diesel tech experience on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
• DOT inspection and air brake repair expertise.
• Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid license.
• Bring your own hand tools; company provides service truck and fuel card.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs in a mobile field environment.
• Handle emergency road service calls with urgency and reliability.
• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and handheld devices to identify issues quickly.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality standards.
• Meet or beat industry-standard repair times.
• Collaborate with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.
• Take ownership of a company-issued service truck and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Contribute as a team player to support colleagues.
