Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Fontana, CA is hiring an Experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to support client fleets on site. You will perform diagnostic and repair work, maintain service trucks, and respond to after-hours calls as needed.

We value tenured technicians with strong mechanical aptitude and relevant certifications. A CDL is preferred, and you’ll work within a large nationwide network representing major truck brands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins and ASE certifications are preferred and rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness and required inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and in the vehicle.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned daily duties.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Maintain and inventory tools for diesel engine truck maintenance.
• Read job orders and observe vehicle operation to plan procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical information to perform repairs.
