Job summary

Rush Truck Centers is seeking Experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to service client fleets on site. You will diagnose and repair heavy trucks at customer locations, maintaining inventory and documenting work through our mobile system.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.
• Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins certifications are preferred & rewarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including filling tank with fuel, checking oil, and inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and keeping vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned duties daily.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Read job orders and diagnose vehicle operation to plan procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to determine malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Repair injectors, pistons, liners, cam shafts, heads, bearings, and more as needed.
• Document and enter work performed into mobile service program accurately.
• Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive relations.
