Job summary

Rush Truck Centers, a leader in the commercial truck industry, is seeking Experienced Mobile Diesel Technicians to support clients on-site and deliver expedited diesel service. Tenured technicians will maintain fleets, manage service calls, and ensure vehicle readiness at customer locations.

The role requires diagnosing issues with advanced tools, performing complex repairs, and maintaining inventory on service trucks. CDL preferred, medical card as required, and ASE certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Current CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and required inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for keeping the vehicle stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned daily duties.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and open work schedule.
• Maintain and inventory the tools for diesel engine trucks and equipment.
• Read job orders and diagnose vehicle malfunctions to plan procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment to determine issues and perform repairs.
• Replace parts such as injectors, pistons, bearings, brakes, transmissions, and more.
• Document and submit paperwork accurately in the mobile service program.
