Job summary

Cox Fleet, a leading on-site mobile maintenance provider, seeks a Mobile Diesel Technician I to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light repairs in a mobile field setting. You’ll assist higher-level technicians, learn advanced diesel skills, and uphold safety and quality standards across jobs.

Responsibilities include performing PMs and DOT inspections, maintaining the service truck, managing parts and documentation, and communicating with customers to ensure satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and up to 2 years’ related experience.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations; able to complete pre-employment DOT background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM, DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Handle minor adjustments and repairs on electrical/braking/cooling systems and other diesel components.
• Independently manage parts inventory and service truck equipment.
• Communicate with management and customers to assess needs and provide updates.
• Document work and upload RO photos using company iOS devices and TRAIT app.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and timely.
