Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to maintain customer fleets and respond to service calls at client locations in Yuma, AZ.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with attention to safety and quality, using manuals and diagnostic equipment. Qualified candidates have a High school diploma or GED, a CDL and Medical Card, and about 9 years of Class 7–8 technician experience in a dealership or truck service facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 9 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Must hold a current CDL and Medical Card as required by FMVSS.
• Mechanical aptitude and technical ability are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Handle basic maintenance of the truck including fueling, oil checks, cleaning, and required inspections.
• Manage inventory control on the service truck and for keeping the vehicle properly stocked.
• Report to the Service Manager and be assigned daily duties.
• Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and an open work schedule.
• Read job orders and observe vehicle operation to determine malfunction and plan procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to determine malfunction and perform correct repair procedures.
