Job summary

Rush Enterprises Inc. in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to maintain our fleet and respond to service calls at client sites. You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, part removal and reconditioning, and install components using manuals.

This role requires a valid CDL and Medical card, at least 9 years as Class 7/8 technician in a dealership or truck service, and strong mechanical aptitude. You will report to the Service Manager and support after-hours calls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 9 years' experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or truck service facility.
• Must hold a current CDL and Medical card per FMVSS.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical ability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks including fueling, oil checks, cleanliness, and inspections.
• Manage inventory on the service truck and maintain vehicle stock.
• Diagnose and repair using diagnostic equipment and manuals.
• Report to the Service Manager and follow daily duties.
• Be available for after-hours service calls and flexible schedule.
• Document work performed in the company system.
• Communicate repairs and future services to customers.
