Job summary

FleetPride in New Castle, DE is seeking a Mobile Technician II to perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on class 7-8 trucks and trailers, often in a shop between service calls.

You will diagnose and repair brake systems, suspensions, electrical systems, fuels, and implement components; requires hand tools and CDL preferred. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Some on-call rotation may apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience repairing class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• CDL Class A is preferred but not required.
• Must provide hand tools, air tools, and toolbox.
• Welding experience is a plus (aluminum and steel welding).

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunction.
• Provide customers with preventative maintenance solution where appropriate.
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes and filter replacements.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes and suspensions.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, exhaust, steering, and HVAC systems.
• Test drive and diagnose vehicle systems; fabricate parts as needed.
