Job summary

FleetPride seeks a Mobile Technician III to master preventative maintenance on heavy-duty truck systems, perform advanced diagnostics, and train other technicians. You will work in the shop between service calls and may participate in after-hour on-call rotations as needed.

The role requires 7+ years of repair experience on class 7 & 8 trucks, welding, air brake certification, and strong diagnostic skills. CDL is preferred, and you must provide your own hand tools and toolbox.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Diesel Tech cert/degree a plus.
• 7+ years of experience repairing class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers.
• Diagnostic experience for vehicle systems and subsystems.
• Welding skills and air brake certification.
• Ability to train and develop other technicians; strong teamwork.
• Must provide hand tools, air tools, and toolbox; CDL is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine damage or malfunctions.
• Perform preventative maintenance and major repairs.
• Train new service shop employees on procedures.
• Inspect orders for completion and quality before delivery to customers.
• Test drive and diagnose vehicle systems using proper equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized workspace and safety standards.
