Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II in Rhode Island to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles. You’ll work in the field with a company vehicle and schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related field experience or 5 years in related field.
• Must possess and bring a set of hand tools.
• ASE certification T8 PMI within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT pre-employment background screening and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs.
• Diagnose and repair truck equipment including electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions.
• Manage parts inventory and operate service truck.
• Complete DOT forms and document findings on RO using TRAIT app.
