Job summary

Cox Fleet in Kingsport, TN is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light to medium repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, braking, cooling and engine systems, test using handheld devices, and partner with a senior technician for more advanced work.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience (or 5 years in a related field), ASE T8 within 18

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years in a related field.
• Possess/obtain ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• DOT background check and DOT physical compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs and DOT inspections on trucks and trailers in mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling and engine systems.
• Inspect, test, and document work, using handheld devices and RO uploads.
• Manage parts on service truck and coordinate with management for approvals.
• Maintain safety checks and adhere to OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
