Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and complex diagnostics in a mobile environment. You will handle electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs, test drives, and documentation using TRAIT on an iOS device.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 3 years in related field, or 5 years in related field.
• Own a set of hand tools to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification to be obtained within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license and meet safety requirements.
• Must be 21 years or older due to interstate regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT Inspections and follow-up repairs on a mobile/field fleet.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/ braking/cooling and engine systems.
• Test and road test vehicles to verify proper operation.
• Prepare and document repairs using RO in TRAIT app.
• Maintain service vehicle and complete pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Coordinate with management for repair estimates and parts.
