Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform DOT inspections, PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs on trucks in a mobile environment. You will diagnose, repair, and test electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems while maintaining parts and service records.

The role includes a 100% travel expectation in the field with independent schedule management and a focus on safety compliance under DOT regulations. A New Hire Bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3 years’ related field experience or 5 years’ alternate experience.
• Must supply a set of hand tools for job duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months; DOT-related pre-employment screening and DOT physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems as needed.
• Road test vehicles to confirm repairs and diagnostics integrity.
• Manage parts inventory and access company-issued service truck; document work on RO using TRAIT app.
