Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on light to heavy-duty trucks and document findings using TRAIT on an iOS device.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, independent scheduling, and customer service, with access to performance metrics and a broad benefits program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years’ related field experience, or 5 years’ related field experience.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance background check and DOT physical required.
• Valid driver’s license and interstate driving eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in mobile/field environment.
• Carry out minor repairs and diagnostics on electrical, braking, cooling, engine and drivetrain systems.
• Test and road-verify vehicles to ensure proper operation after service.
• Document work performed, parts used, and findings on RO via company iOS app.
