Job summary

Cox Fleet, a Cox Automotive division, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to support DOT inspections and field service across the United States. The role emphasizes safe, efficient diagnostics and repairs in a mobile environment with a strong focus on customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma/GED, 3–5 years of related experience, and ASE T8 certification within 18 months. Tools are provided; DOT/FMCSA regulations apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related experience, or 5 years related field.
• Must possess and supply a set of hand tools.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT/FMCSA regulations and DOT medical card requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in field/mobile environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/braking/cooling systems and engine components.
• Test, road-test and diagnose malfunctions; determine root cause and remedies.
• Manage parts inventory and document work using RO in TRAIT app on iOS device.
• Complete DOT forms accurately and timely and communicate findings to customers and management.
• Maintain safety standards and operate company service truck with pre/post-trip inspections.
