Job summary
Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is hiring a Mobile Diesel Mechanic/Technician to keep fleets road-ready across the region. In this field-based role, you’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, including emergency roadside service when needed.
You will use advanced tools and on-site equipment, diagnose electrical and brake systems, and test drive vehicles to ensure quality.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on diesel tech experience on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
- DOT inspection proficiency.
- Air brake repair expertise.
- Strong communication with customers and drivers.
- Comfortable using mobile apps and digital documentation.
Responsibilities
- Perform onsite preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
- Handle emergency road service calls with confidence and urgency.
- Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems on fleets.
- Use handheld and diagnostic tools to identify and fix issues quickly.
- Road test vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality standards.
- Meet or beat industry-standard repair times.
- Collaborate with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.
