Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in Columbus, OH. This role performs DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light-to-medium repairs in a mobile/field setting, Thursday through Sunday from 2pm to 12am.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma/GED with related experience (or 5 years in the field), tools, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid DOT medical card. Benefits include weekly pay, day-one health coverage, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years’ related field experience, or 5 years’ experience.
• Must possess a set of hand tools to perform duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months; DOT pre-employment checks and DOT physical required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled PMs, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs in a mobile/field setting.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/ braking/cooling systems and other truck components.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose equipment using hand tools and diagnostic devices.
• Communicate with management and customers to obtain approvals and document findings.
• Maintain the company service truck and ensure safety inspections and trip checks are completed.
