Job summary

Cox Fleet, headquartered in Indianapolis and expanding nationwide, is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II in Raleigh. You will perform DOT inspections, scheduled PMs, and light-to-heavy repairs in a mobile/field setting, using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot Diesel systems.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, tool ownership, ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license with ability to obtain a DOT medical card. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a DOT medical card.
• DOT and FMCSA regulatory compliance knowledge is required.
• Must be able to work in a mobile/field environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT Inspections and follow up repairs on vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine, and other systems on trucks.
• Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
• Maintain and operate company-issued service truck and conduct safety checks.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and document RO in TRAIT app.
