Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform DOT inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a mobile fleet across assigned locations. This role requires strict adherence to DOT regulations and safety standards.

You will document work using an iOS device, manage parts on the service truck, and coordinate with the support team to obtain approvals and estimates. A valid driver’s license and ASE certification within 18 months are part of the requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, plus 3 years in a related field or 5 years in related field.
• possess a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
• ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
• DOT background screening and DOT physical as part of pre-employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and PMs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in the field.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling and engine systems on trucks.
• Document work using company iOS device and upload RO findings.
• Manage parts inventory and service truck supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
