Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company is seeking a Mobile Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty truck repairs offsite at customer locations. You will manage repair orders, schedule work, and upsell services while ensuring safety and high customer satisfaction.

The role requires 3+ years of heavy-duty repair experience, relevant certifications, and a valid CDL/DOT card if needed. You will operate in a Territory with on-site customer interactions and support from a service team.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years' heavy duty truck repair experience.
• A/C, Brake and DOT Annual Inspector certifications required. Engine and Component certifications are a plus.
• Must be self-motivated and capable of working with little supervision.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction and perform quality repairs.
• Excellent communication skills; positive can-do attitude.
• Possess necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.
• Class A or B CDL and/or DOT medical card may be required depending on vehicle size.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine heavy-duty truck repairs and maintenance with general supervision.
• Coordinate repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen; schedule mobile maintenance.
• Advise customers on needed service work and upsell labor, parts, and related services.
• Follow safety practices; maintain safety of vehicles and report damages.
• Maintain favorable relations with customers and documentation of work performed.
• Oversee operations of assigned customers; call on key accounts and promote services.
• Help achieve labor sales objectives for assigned accounts.
