Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Tampa is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to service cargo vans and box trucks. You will perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and tire repairs, and assist with more complex repairs under supervision.

The job may involve on-site servicing at customer locations and occasional field work. Qualified candidates hold a valid CDL (A/B/C) and have at least 2 years of heavy/medium-duty repair experience, plus ASE certification.

Qualifications

• CDL required (A/B/C).
• At least 2 years’ experience with heavy/medium-duty repairs.
• ASE certification (potential to obtain up to 2 more within 1 year).
• Knowledge of engine, drive train, brakes, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, lubrication, tire repairs.
• Carry out repairs on cargo vans and box trucks with minimal supervision.
• Assist senior mechanics with complex tasks and be ready for field service at vehicle locations.
