Job summary

Thomson Reuters in the United States is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering for Mobile & Desktop Apps to lead two greenfield platforms across iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac, shaping architecture and hiring the teams.

You will own cross-platform outcomes, partner with Product and Design, and drive quality, performance, and CI/CD standards while delivering native mobile and desktop experiences that empower legal professionals worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading or managing engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience shipping production mobile and/or desktop applications in enterprise context.
• Understanding of mobile and desktop engineering challenges, architecture patterns, distribution, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow two engineering teams — Mobile and Desktop — hiring and developing engineers across both platforms from the ground up.
• Define the engineering approach for mobile and desktop, including platform choice and architecture decisions.
• Deliver CoCounsel Legal’s first native mobile and desktop applications across iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac.
• Integrate with backend teams to surface capabilities and ensure seamless user context across surfaces.
• Own quality, performance, and reliability with testing, CI/CD, crash reporting, and monitoring.
