Job summary

Thomson Reuters seeks a Lead Software Engineer for the CoCounsel Legal Mobile App to set the technical bar, drive architecture, and mentor a greenfield mobile team across iOS and Android. You will deliver production-quality code and partner with Product to shape mobile experiences.

You will define engineering standards, collaborate with backend/AI counterparts, and influence platform strategy while delivering high-quality, accessible mobile solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering with strong iOS and/or Android experience.
• Experience leading mobile product direction, architecture decisions and standards.
• Track record shipping production mobile apps to real users in enterprise settings.
• Experience integrating mobile apps with cloud APIs including streaming and auth.

Responsibilities

• Establish the technical foundation and platform strategy for the mobile app.
• Deliver hands-on iOS and/or Android features across core experiences.
• Integrate the mobile app with backend services and APIs.
• Define and uphold mobile engineering standards, reviews, testing, and accessibility.
• Mentor and grow mobile engineers in a greenfield environment.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to translate requirements into mobile experiences.
• Share mobile patterns and insights with other engineering teams.
