Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering for CoCounsel Legal Mobile & Desktop Apps to lead two greenfield teams across iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac. You will define architecture, hire the teams, and deliver first native experiences, reporting to the Head of Engineering for CoCounsel Legal.

You will own cross‑platform quality, collaborate with Product and Design, and partner with backend teams to surface agent capabilities and contextual data at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years leading or managing engineering teams.
• Hands‑on experience shipping production mobile or desktop apps in enterprise context.
• Understanding mobile and desktop engineering challenges, architecture, performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead two engineering teams (Mobile and Desktop) from ground up.
• Define engineering approach for mobile and desktop platforms.
• Deliver native mobile and desktop applications across iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac.
• Integrate with backend teams to surface capabilities and contexts.
• Own quality, performance, and reliability across platforms, establish testing/CI/CD standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and backend teams to deliver coherent product experience.
• Represent engineering perspectives in planning and prioritization.
