Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering for CoCounsel Legal Mobile & Desktop Apps. You will lead two greenfield teams (Mobile and Desktop) across iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac, define architecture decisions, hire talent, and deliver native experiences that integrate with backend services.

You will ensure high quality, performance, and reliability while collaborating with Product and Design to ship cohesive, scalable software.

Qualifications

5+ years software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading teams.
Experience shipping production mobile (iOS/Android) or desktop (Windows/macOS) apps in a professional context.
Understanding mobile and desktop engineering challenges and architecture patterns.
Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain engineers across teams or workstreams.
Experience integrating applications with cloud backends and REST/GraphQL APIs.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow two engineering teams – Mobile and Desktop – from the ground up.
Define the engineering approach for mobile and desktop platforms and select architecture patterns.
Deliver CoCounsel Legal's first native mobile and desktop applications across iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac.
Integrate with backend teams to surface agent capabilities and context across surfaces.
Own quality, performance, and reliability with testing, CI/CD, crash reporting, and monitoring.
Collaborate with Product, Design, and backend teams to ensure a coherent cross‑platform experience.
Represent mobile and desktop engineering perspectives in planning with senior leadership.
