Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology.
• No experience required.
• Radiographer license and ARRT CT certification to be obtained within 18 months.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures (head, body, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities).
• Obtains medical history and ensures exam accuracy with physician orders.
• Positions patient, selects scanning factors, and ensures radiation safety per regulations.
• Prepares and administers contrast media under Radiologist direction; provides additional slices as needed.
• Post-processes images and labels with patient data and study location.
• Maintains records in RIS and documents billing codes for charges.
