Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, GA is seeking a CT technologist to join the radiology team. You will perform CT exams, manage IV contrast, and ensure patient safety while maintaining high-quality imaging and accurate EMR/PACS documentation.

The role requires CT knowledge, ARRT RT-CT certification, and a year of radiology experience, with a night shift schedule and opportunities for professional development within AdventHealth network.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CT procedures and scanners.
• Fluent in English.
• Basic IV competency.
• Cross-Sectional Anatomy knowledge.
• Cardiac & Vascular skills.
• 3D workstation skills.
• ALARA radiation safety practices.
• Follow department policies and procedures.
• Reading and following instructions.

Responsibilities

• Practicing infection control standards and using PPE.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures.
• Maintains accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Educates patients about exams and maintains workflow.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and adapts protocols for all ages.
• Performs high-quality CT exams per orders and protocols.
• Reviews patient history and contraindications.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast with safety.
• Positions patients and maintains radiation safety.
• Collaborates with radiologists for appropriate imaging.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
