Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (CT) to perform CT imaging across body regions, ensure patient history accuracy, and maintain image quality. You will help prepare contrast, protect patients from radiation, and document procedures within our radiology system.

Must hold a radiologic technology program credential and comply with ARRT licensures. This full-time role requires 40 hours weekly with a variable schedule and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety.
• Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures (head, body, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities).
• Obtains patient history and ensures exam accuracy by matching requisitions to orders.
• Positions patient and selects scanning factors to attain appropriate images while applying radiation safety.
• Prepares/ administers contrast media and assists in scanning techniques under Radiologist direction.
• Post-processes images and correctly labels images with patient information and location.
• Maintains records and enters study data into the radiology information system and documents billing codes.
• Performs quality assurance tests and reports equipment issues; may assist with new equipment evaluations.
• Assists in patient handling and transfers with proper technique; adheres to age-specific care needs.
