Job summary

Responsibilities include post-processing, documentation in the radiology system, QA checks, and basic equipment maintenance. The role requires adherence to age-specific care and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist and CT registration to be obtained within specified timelines.
• BLS certification or equivalent to be obtained within required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment for basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures.
• Obtain patient history and verify orders for exam accuracy.
• Position patients, adjust scanning factors, and ensure radiation safety.
• Administer contrast media under Radiologist direction and assist in scanning.
• Post-process images and correctly label files with patient identifiers.
• Document information in radiology systems and track billing codes.
• Identify equipment issues and perform QA tests as directed.
• Perform patient handling duties including lifting and transport as needed.
