Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA, seeking a CT Technologist who delivers high-quality imaging and guides patient care with compassion. You will join a collaborative care team, performing CT procedures and ensuring patient safety in a mobile unit setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology is required.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, plus BLS are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently while maintaining ALARA principles.
• Disinfect and clean rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers prior to exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients using AIDET to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers/shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
