Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a New Mobile CT Unit serving Augusta, GA. The CT Technologist will perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety and comfort, and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality imaging and timely exams.

Responsibilities include maintaining ALARA standards, coordinating with radiology staff, and documenting in RIS/PACS. A supportive work environment and opportunities for ongoing education are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA standards.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
