Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA. CT Technologists deliver safe, high-quality imaging and support a positive patient experience within a collaborative care team.

Role emphasizes independent operation of CT equipment, adherence to infection control, proper documentation in RIS/PACS, and communication to reduce patient anxiety. Opportunity for professional growth and competitive pay exists.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT (Radiography) certification preferred.
• ARRT CT certification preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders and patient identifiers prior to exams.
• Explain procedures and postcare clearly using AIDET; ease patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrasts per protocol using sterile technique.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and release patients accordingly.
• Document timely in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes and support department flow.
