Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group operates a New Mobile CT Unit in Augusta, GA, delivering high-quality imaging with compassionate patient care. CT Technologists play a critical role within a collaborative care team, ensuring safety and efficiency in every exam.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA standards to minimize patient dose.
• Maintain rooms and equipment, ensuring infection control practices are followed.
• Verify orders, obtain patient identifiers, and review clinical history before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep steps to patients, addressing questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using proper venipuncture and sterile technique when required.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
