Job summary

DESC's Mobile Rapid Response Crisis Team in the Seattle area provides frontline crisis intervention for adults experiencing mental health or substance use crises. Teams of two respond to crises dispatches to identify therapeutic options and connect clients with services, aiming to prevent unnecessary ER visits and incarceration.

Qualified candidates will have CPSS credentials or trainee status, CACPS training or commitment to complete within 90 days, and lived experience with recovery.

Qualifications

  • Current CPSS or CPSS-T credential through WA DOH or ability to gain certification within 60 days.
  • Proof of successful completion of CACPS training or ability to complete within 90 days.
  • Lived experience as a consumer of behavioral health services, or parent/guardian of a child who has received services.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle for agency business and a valid WA driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Perform timely crisis outreach services in cooperation with Crisis Connections and referents.
  • Engage in crisis intervention, stabilization, and related activities.
  • Develop and implement plans to engage clients in relevant services.
  • Complete data collection and documentation for program participants.
  • Provide peer recovery support and collaborate with DESC programs to support recovery goals.
  • Advocate for clients' access to resources and continuity of care.
