Job summary

CarePlus NJ, Inc. seeks a Supervisor for the Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Teams to oversee 24/7 crisis outreach across Bergen and Passaic counties from Paramus.

You will supervise MCORT staff, provide remote back-up, and guide appropriate interventions in collaboration with the 988 Suicide Crisis Lifeline Call Center. Requirements include a Master’s in a mental health field, two years post-master’s experience, at least one year of supervisory experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited college.
• Two years post-master’s experience in a psychiatric setting (full-time).
• One-year supervisory experience; crisis experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must be insurable by the agency.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and oversight to MCORT staff to broaden clinical skills and improve client care.
• Evaluate staff productivity and documentation of service delivery; review staff responsibilities.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training for the MCORT department.
• Complete performance appraisals and advocate for appropriate rewards and disciplinary actions.
• Provide on-call clinical consultation and case reviews for MCORTs to determine interventions or higher levels of care.
• Provide consultation, training, and technical assistance to MCORTs and oversight of day-to-day operations.
• Conduct quality assurance activities and oversee data collection and reporting per DMHAS.
• Coordinate program services with system partners and provide ongoing staff training.
• Assist in preventing inappropriate psychiatric hospitalization, re-hospitalization, and use of emergency services.
