Job summary

MGX Equipment Services in Aiken, SC is seeking a Shop Crane Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. The position reports to the Branch Manager at the Aiken branch.

Candidates hired will receive a $4,500 sign-on bonus, payable after 90 days of continuous service. This is a full-time role with hours from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, offering a competitive total rewards package including benefits and education opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 2+ years as a mechanic/technician.
• Experience with Grove RT & TMS cranes; Manitowoc EPIC/traditional cranes preferred.
• Read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Welding experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer focus.
• Valid driver's license preferred; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects.
• Repair and troubleshoot mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes; fix hydraulic and electrical components.
• Read and interpret electrical/hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure OEM specifications.
• Prepare for jobs by checking parts and drawings.
• Maintain accurate reports, hours and expense records.
• May weld as needed; work independently with good customer service.
