Job summary

MGX Equipment Services in Aiken, SC seeks a Field Crane Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain mobile cranes and boom trucks. Role reports to the Service Manager and offers a pay range of $25.00-$45.00 per hour with a $4,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days, plus up to $1,500 annual tool reimbursement and relocation assistance may be available.

Travel up to 50% may be required; full-time schedule typically 7:00 am–4:00 pm with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Must have a mechanical background with electrical and hydraulics; able to read electrical/hydraulic schematics.
• Experience in preventative maintenance and light equipment repair.
• May travel to job sites and training up to 50% of the time.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer focus.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Experience with different mobile cranes and/or heavy equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Light diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
• Capable of working independently without direct supervision.
• Perform annual inspections.
• Fill out reports, hours reports, time sheets, and expense reports.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.
