Job summary

MGX Equipment Services is seeking Field Crane Technicians to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain mobile cranes and boom trucks at the Aiken, SC branch. The role reports to the Service Manager and offers a sign-on bonus with relocation assistance possibilities.

The position pays $25.00–$45.00 per hour, with a potential travel up to 50% for job sites and training. A strong mechanical background, ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics, and customer‑focused communication are

Qualifications

• Mechanical background with experience in electrical and hydraulics.
• Experience in preventative maintenance and light equipment repair (oil changes, brake jobs, etc.).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for job sites and training.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Light diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
• Capable of completing tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Properly fill out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.
