Job summary

MGX Field Crane Technicians inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile cranes and boom trucks from our Aiken, SC branch. The role reports to the Service Manager and offers a $25.00–$45.00 per hour compensation with a $4,500 sign‑on bonus after 90 days, plus a $1,500 yearly tool reimbursement.

This full‑time position may require up to 50% travel to job sites and training. Relocation assistance may be available for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• Mechanical background with experience in electrical and hydraulics.
• Experience reading electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Travel up to 50% of the time.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Experience with mobile cranes or heavy equipment is a plus.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician.

Responsibilities

• Light diagnosis, repair and troubleshooting of various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
• Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Properly fill out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.
