Job summary

The Manitowoc Company offers a Shop Crane Technician role at the MGX Equipment Services location in Aiken, SC. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain various mobile and lattice cranes, reporting to the Branch Manager.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, testing repaired equipment, and performing annual inspections, with a customer-focused approach. The position includes a $4,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of continued service and a full-time schedule from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years as Mechanic/Technician.
• Experience with Grove RT & TMS, GMK European cranes, EPIC or Manitowoc cranes.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Welding experience preferred; valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect cranes to diagnose defects.
• Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
• Read manuals, blueprints and drawings for parts and procedures.
• Test equipment after repair to ensure OEM specs.
• Prepare parts and drawings for jobs; complete annual inspections.
• Provide excellent customer service.
