Job summary

MGX in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Crane Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile cranes and boom trucks in a shop setting. You’ll review work orders, verify parts, read schematics and OEM manuals, and perform tests to ensure OEM compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2+ years as Crane Mechanic/Technician preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform comprehensive inspections on cranes to pinpoint defects.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes; service hydraulic and electrical systems and components.
• Read, interpret, and apply information from operating manuals, parts catalogs, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Test mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic systems after repair or modification to confirm OEM compliance.
• Prepare each job by verifying parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct precise annual inspections and document results.
• Complete working reports, hour reports, time sheets, hours overviews, and expense submissions accurately.
• Work independently, manage priorities, and deliver excellent customer service.
