Job summary

MGX Equipment Services in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Field Crane Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain mobile cranes and boom trucks. The role reports to the Service Manager and requires a strong mechanical background with electrical and hydraulic skills.

We offer a $4,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days of continuous service, a Tool Reimbursement Program up to $1,500 annually, relocation assistance where eligible, and a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1 year crane mechanic/technician experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical background with electrical and hydraulics knowledge; able to read schematics.
• Experience in preventative maintenance and light equipment repair (oil changes, break jobs, etc.).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time; valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Excellent communication skills and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.
• Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Fill out reports, hours, timesheets and expense logs.
• Provide excellent customer service and team support.
• Travel to job sites as needed; work with supervision as required.
