Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Site Superintendent to develop and manage comprehensive job plans under the Site Superintendent and Project Manager. You will lead scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with architects, owners, and subcontractors to keep projects on track and within budget.

You will ensure compliance with building codes, quality standards, and safety policies while maintaining productive relationships with field teams and management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in commercial construction.
• A demonstrated knowledge of construction processes.
• A valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of building codes and blueprints.
• Knowledge of subcontractors' scopes of work and quality requirements.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Has strong problem solving skills, showing the ability to deal with various variables in construction.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to understand job requirements.
• Develop job plan including schedule, access, manpower, and building requirements.
• Procure tools, labor and some materials.
• Interact with architects and owners to resolve job issues.
• Meet with the General Superintendent for training and development.
• Communicate progress to supervisory personnel, clients, and subcontractors prior to each phase.
